Floyd. I LOVE Floyd. Most people wouldn't think that an old text adventure from 1983 could have characters that you could genuinely love, but those people are wrong. Every line of dialog that Floyd has makes me want to hug him.
Vivi's struggle to understand who is, where he fits in, and what he will become is heartbreaking, and makes me want to take him in my arms and tell him that everything will be okay.
Well, all Moogles, really (except for those WEIRD looking ones in Final Fantasy XII). Something about the way that Moogles look, talk, and act is just inexplicably lovable.
A different kind of lovable than the others. I have never felt a desire to hug him, but I think the cheek pinch still applies. He's a fumbling, untalented, average youth who every single one of us can relate to. Or at least I can. :P He changed a fair bit between games, but its the Monkey Island 1 and 3 incarnations that I fell in love with.
If you don't have some kind of love for the cute little creatures of Pinata Island, you're cold-hearted. If you don't have some kind of love for them after I gave each and every one in my garden a monocle and a top hat, you flat out don't have a soul.
