It was first introduced in the second generation of Pokémon. There has been several occurences where two Pichu's have appeared in several places as "The Pichu Brothers" such as in the animé and the Pokémon Channel special Pichu Bros. in Party Panic. Pichu is known for their playfulness and are very social Pokémon, though they can be very mischievous. Being just a baby Pokémon, Pichu has a hard time controlling its electrical power and can sometimes discharge their electricity unintentionally. Pichu and its evolutionary forms, Pikachu and Raichu, are the only known species that can learn the powerful Electric move Volt Tackle.
