Nick Virago is a minor character in the 1998 LucasArts adventure game Grim Fandango. He is a successful lawyer whose services are on exclusive retainer for Maximino, the wealthy and powerful owner of Rubacava's cat-racing track Feline Meadows. Nick is introduced as he begins an affair with Maximino's girlfriend, Olivia Ofrenda; the couple are photographed mid-kiss by Lola, a local souvenir photographer, and Nick chases after her for the illicit photo. Manny Calavera later discovers a small key in Nick's possession which opens the door to Rubacava's lighthouse, where he finds Lola near "death". She has been sprouted by Nick, who demanded the photos Lola took earlier; Nick apparently shot her out of frustration after she refused to cooperate.

Eventually, Manny's scheme to escape Rubacava requires him to enlist Nick's services as a lawyer on behalf of an incarcerated Sea Bee dock worker named Terry Malloy. Manny recovers Lola's photo and uses it to blackmail Nick into representing his client, securing Terry's release (and the Sea Bee's discarded power tools). Once their business is concluded, Manny offers Nick a little bonus in the form of a punch to Nick's jaw; Manny wryly remarks that he doesn't have time to pay Nick back properly for Lola's murder before shipping out on the SS Limbo.

Nick is last seen as a passenger on the Number Nine Express after purchasing one of Hector LaMans' counterfeit Double-N tickets. However, as the Number Nine approaches the Ninth Underworld Temple, the train suddenly transforms into a twisted, demonic version of itself before plunging off of the tracks and into a firey pit, presumably damning Nick and all of the other souls aboard for eternity.
