    Overview

Naotaka Hayashi is a Japanese scenario writer most well known for his work on various video games.

His earliest known credit as a writer is for KID's Remember 11: The Age of Infinity which he wrote alongside Kotaro Uchikoshi, writer of the Infinity and Zero Escape series. Later he would create his own visual novel with 5pb and Nitroplus called Chaos;Head, the first entry in the Science Adventure series. The following year, he released the second entry in the Science Adventure series, Steins;Gate, which would go on to become his most famous work and spawned its own sub-series, earning considerable acclaim as both a visual novel and an anime adaptation.

His work on Steins;Gate prompted Square Enix to invite him to work on their role-playing game Bravely Default as the scenario writer which also earned considerable acclaim. Currently he continues to work on the Science Adventure series and various other projects at 5pb.
