Founded in 1996, their first game was Viper Racing for the PC, released in 1998, featuring Dodge-licensed cars. It was well received, and won an Editor's Choice award from PC Gamer magazine.

From that, Monster Games landed the license to NASCAR and developed three NASCAR games on the PC, Gamecube, and Xbox.

After developing Test Drive: Eve for Destruction, Nintendo hired them to bring the Excite series to their next-gen console, the Wii, which resulted in Excite Truck, Excitebots: Trick Racing, and Excitebike World Rally.

They developed Pilotwings Resort, a launch title for the Nintendo 3DS.

Recently they did the 3DS port of Donkey Kong Country Returns and pitched in in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
