After being raised by strict parents, Miguel's brutal and hostile nature found him starting fights with people around him, causing him to be seen as a rebel. After countless arguments with his parents, he was forced to leave home at the age of 15 and soon found sanctuary at a bar he visited often. Miguel trusted no one, except for his sister, who was the most important person in the world to Miguel. She visited him often, without her parents finding out. Some time later, Miguel was informed by his sister that she was about to get married. Miguel was outraged and even contemplated killing her fiance. On the day of the wedding, Miguel watched the ceremony from outside of the church, not wanting to be seen by his parents. However, after a line of planes passed over the area, a burning inferno covered the scene. Miguel was blown away, but despite his pain he looked for his sister inside the church. He found her, dead. After he discovered that the air raid was ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, he vowed to take down its leader,
Jin Kazama, and enters
The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to do so.
