Story
Meat's story is revealed during his ending of Mortal Kombat Armageddon, stating that he was "a horrific experiment" created by Shang Tsung. He escaped the sorcerer's clutches before he could be fully completed."
Appearances
Meat's debut appearance was in Mortal Kombat 4. He was secret character that could be unlocked. At the time of MK4, there was no canonical storyline for Meat. Originally, all that was said about Meat was that he was a helper for Shinnok. The character model of MK4's Meat was a bloody skeleton, being the same render that was used for an opponent caught on the wrong side of Reptile's vomit fatality. Meat's move set would be dependent on whatever character you would select, meaning if you selected Scorpion when unlocking Meat, he would have the same moves as that character.
Meat made a brief cameo appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deception's Konquest mode, where he could be found in a small cave in the Netherrealm, appearing there each day at 10:00 p.m., If spoken to, Meat would give the player koins.
Not until Mortal Kombat Armageddon, did Meat get an official canonical story line. Also, Meat's character model got an overhaul, as he was no longer a bloodied skeleton, but more of a skinless cadaver with exposed veins and muscles. Meat's left eyeball hanged out of its socket. Meat's main weapon was a pair of meat cleavers.
