Matt Booty
Matt Booty is the head of Xbox Game Studios. He was formerly the CEO, president, and chairman of the board at Midway Games.
Overview
Following the buyout by Warner Bros., Matt Booty left Midway Games. Along with all employees at the executive level, he received a sixty day notification of this fact on July 16, 2009. Booty joined Microsoft Game Studios where he headed up mobile gaming initiatives for the Windows Phone 7 platform and took the lead heading Microsoft's Minecraft business. In January 2018, he was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Studios. With a reorganization of Xbox's leadership in 2023, Booty became the Head of Xbox Game Studios.
