Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (known in Europe as Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. and in Japan as Mario & Luigi RPG: Paper Mario MIX) is a 3D fantasy turn-based RPG developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo (Company) for the Nintendo 3DS (Platform). It was released internationally in December 2015 and in North America on January 22, 2016.
A crossover game (and the fifth in the Mario andamp;amp;amp; Luigi series), Paper Jam builds on the classic Mario & Luigi formula with elements from the Paper Mario (Franchise) series. When the Paper World is accidentally unleashed into the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario (Character) and Luigi (Character) must enlist the help of Paper Mario to recover the Paper visitors and defeat Bowser (Character) and his cohorts (who have allied with their Paper counterparts).

This game supports the Mario (Character), Luigi (Character), Princess Peach (Character), Yoshi (Character), Toad (Character), Bowser (Character), Dr. Mario, 8-bit Mario, Yarn Yoshi, and Hammer Slam Bowser amiibo (Concept).
When these amiibo are scanned, they will give the player special support cards to aid them in battle.
