Overview
Magicka 2 is a top-down action-adventure game developed by Pieces and published by Paradox for the PlayStation 4 (Platform) (via PlayStation Network (Concept)) and PC (Platform) (via Steam (Concept)) on May 26, 2015. It is the sequel to Arrowhead's 2011 game Magicka (Game), telling the tale of a new group of one-to-four Wizards (Concept) set over 40 years after the original game (during which the world of Midgård has been almost wiped free of Wizards after the "Wizard Wars"). The game features a refined version of the original's "dynamic spellcasting system", adding the ability to "quickcast" certain spells (with cooldown timers) while reducing reliance on combined elements (requiring players to focus on the elemental weaknesses of their enemies).
