    Meet Ludwig von Koopa, the eldest of the Koopalings. Ludwig is a great inventor and loves to compose music. As shown in Super Mario Bros. 3, Ludwig has an affinity for pipes - presumably because the nature of Pipe Land acts as a undisturbed venue for his productive hobbies.

    His name comes from Ludwig Von Beethoven.

    In the cartoon, he is known as Kooky von Koopa.
