Bosses are enemies that fight you at the end of a level or at a significant point in the story.
A boss fight is a culminating challenge that pits the player against one or more enemies representing a greater threat and/or difficulty than those previously faced. These scenarios typically feature unique antagonists.
A minigame in Mario Super Sluggers where pinball is played, Bowser style!
Enemies in the Mario series that run at players, trying to knock them into lava or a pit.
Given that Hell totally sucks, it's not surprising that Demons are semi-constantly trying to get from there to Earth.
From The Legend of Zelda series, dodongos are large, lizard-like enemies that are usually found in caves and mountainous environments. They are not fond of smoke.
This Atronach resembles a woman shrouded in flames. It is considerably weaker than the massive Frost Atronach.
A common type of stage featured in many games. Slippery ice, avalanches, and freezing water are some of the unpleasantries to be had when visiting these cold arctic regions.
Whole levels dedicated to the industrial theme. These levels resemble factories or other industrial areas, and are often filled with conveyor belts, tesla coils and other contraptions.
A variant of the Bubba enemy from the Mario games, which appears in Super Mario Sunshine. This large fish is capable of swimming in lava and appears in the Corona Mountain level.
A stage or level designed around a theme of musical instruments or audio equipment. Most common in platformers, where the instruments often act as platforms, obstacles, or even enemies.
Non-pinball games featuring a level or stage that greatly resembles the interior of a pinball machine.
Podoboos are living fireball enemies usually found in Castles in the Mario games. The original ones would only jump out of lava in simple patterns.
A parasitic life form in the Halo universe, which serves as a secondary antagonist throughout the series. It has no known origin, though it is rumored to be extragalactic.
A level that takes place either in or near water.
