Kureha is a shrine maiden of the Hayabusa clan, and a close friend of Ryu ever since they were children. She is killed by Doku when the village is raided.

Overview
Kureha is the Dragon Lineage shrine maiden of the Hayabusa clan in Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden (Franchise) series. She is also the older sister of Momiji (Character). Kureha and Ryu were close friends ever since they were children. However, during the events of Ninja Gaiden, she is killed when Doku's forces invade the village in order to steal the Dark Dragon Blade (Object). In Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, she returns in spirit form in order to aid both Ryu and Momiji, who has since inherited the role of the Dragon Lineage shrine maiden.
