History
Kronos started out as an animation and CG effect house, not a video game developer. The company's first involvement with games was creating the opening cinematic forKing's Quest VI. After working on the art assets for Sierra's Phantasmagoria, Kronos began preparing to develop its first original title. Plans to create a fighting game for Sony fell through, but soon after the company started work on what would become its first published title, Criticom (Game). Criticom was released in 1995, but the developer would have to wait until 2000's Fear Effect (Game) to see significant success.
