    Kim Jong-il was the supreme leader of North Korea from 1994 to 2011.

    Game Appearances

    Kim Jong-il makes a brief but important appearance in the backstory of Homefront, which when released in March 2011, said that he had died in 2012 and his son Kim Jong-Un had taken his place as the leader of North Korea. Jong-il ended up dying only a few weeks prior to 2012 and Jong-Un did indeed succeed him.
