Kick Off
FRANCHISE »
A soccer game series developed by Anco. Originated on the Amiga and Atari ST, but eventually found its way onto various other systems. Dino Dini is credited as the creator of the series.

Overview

Kick Off began as a 1989 Amiga and Atari ST game which was released to rave reviews by the European press. The series would continue to grow for a time, even as series creator Dino Dini left Anco to create soccer games elsewhere. After Kick Off 3, Kick Off was relaunched a few more times but would never see a similar level of popularity again. Many fans felt the game Sensible Soccer surpassed it. The series also received a spin-off: Player Manager (Game). In this game, the player could manage their team between matches. They could then play as their managed team in matches which were based on Kick Off's engine.
