Founded in 2006 with Stewart Gilray (Person) at the head of the studio, the company released its first game Gravity Crash (Game) for PS3, shorly followed by a PSP version.

In 2010 Just Add Water announced a partnership with Oddworld Inhabitants (Company) to develop multiple Oddworld projects, they have since continuously released multiple projects in this franchise. In 2013 they announced a new release of their first game Gravity Crash this time targeted at the PS Vita.
