John Carpenter
PERSON
Famed horror and action film director who is especially popular for his work in the late seventies and early eighties including "Halloween", "Escape From New York" and "The Thing". The latter was later developed into a squad-based action game in which he had a cameo voice-over role.


Overview

John Carpenter is a film director best known for a string of horror and action films from the 1970s and '80s, including the original Halloween, Escape From New York, The Thing, and Big Trouble in Little China. He is also a known lover of video games has worked on a select few. Carpenter's first game credit was 1998's Sentinel Returns (Game), for which he composed the score with Gary McKill (Person). In 2002 he voiced a cameo role in The Thing (Game) video game. Most recently he aided in the direction of the cutscenes in F.E.A.R. 3.
