The second Janou Touryuumon by Game Arts, a series of mahjong games intended to teach players how to be experts. It was ported to the Japanese Mega Drive by Sega and lost its numeral in the process.

Overview

Janou Touryuumon is a mahjong game that was originally released on the NEC PC-98 platform in 1991 as Janou Touryuumon II, the second part of a series created by Game Arts. When Sega ported the game to Sega Mega Drive in 1993 they elided the numeral to avoid confusion. The Mega Drive version preserves much of the original game's content, including the OS-style menus, and offers multiple modes to teach players the ins and outs of the game on a professional level. It uses digitized photos of mahjong players who act as instructors.
