    Overview

International Rugby is a rugby game that, true to its name, features a collection of international sides that can compete in either single exhibition matches or full tournaments. It uses a vertically-aligned top-down perspective of the field with smaller player sprites, similar to Sensible Soccer.

It is a Mega Drive-exclusive adaptation of Domark's previous International Rugby Challenge for home computers, switching developers to Tiertex, and is also the first game to represent the sport of rugby on a Sega platform (though not the last). While it never saw a physical North American release, it was temporarily included in the Sega Channel line-up in that territory.
