Howard Scott Warshaw is a former game developer that worked for Atari (Company) in the 1980s. He was the sole programmer on a number of games released for the Atari 2600, including Yars' Revenge and E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. He has since left the game industry and currently makes a living as a licensed psychotherapist in California. He plays a small role as himself in the film Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie; a sci-fi comedy take on the urban legends surrounding a landfill where unsold E.T. cartridges were buried.
