Overview
Haven is a game developed and published by The Game Bakers (Company). It was released for Xbox One (Platform), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 (Platform), and PC (Platform) in December, 2020. It released for Nintendo Switch (Platform) and Playstation 4 in February, 2021.
Haven is a light action RPG with a heavy focus on the relationship between the two protagonists, Yu and Kay. Both of the players are controllable. In single player either character can be controlled and switched at any time. In local co-op both characters are controlled.
The music for the game is composed by French electronic musician Danger (Person).
Story
Lovers Yu and Kay have escaped their home planet to avoid being held to the matchmaking traditions of their society. They have landed on an abandoned planet called Source (Location). While flora and fauns on the planet are limited, the couple is determined to build a new life for themselves.
Gameplay
Gameplay is split into two segments. The first is a quasi-open world that includes collecting, battling, and exploring. The second is a relationship sim in which the characters eat, cook, sleep, chat, and shower.
Couples Update
On March 3, 2022 The Game Bakers released a free update that added same-sex couple options to the game. This included new models for Yu and Kay, as well as new voiced dialogue for the characters.
