Guillermo del Toro is a Mexican filmmaker. In recent years, he has attempted to make two separate horror games, inSANE and Silent Hills, both of which have been canceled.


Overview

Guillermo del Toro is a Mexicanfilm director who is perhaps most famous for his genre films, such as Blade 2, the Hellboy films, and Pan's Labyrinth. He has since worked on major films such as The Hobbit series, Kung Fu Panda series, and Pacific Rim.

Video Games

Del Toro is known for being a video gamer. His favourite video games include the 1993 adventure games Gadget: Invention, Travel andamp;amp;amp; Adventure and Cosmology of Kyoto (Game), both of which he credited as influences on his work, as well as the classic arcade shooters Asteroidsand Galaga (Game). In 2010, it was revealed that del Toro would be making his first foray into the world of video game development, with him and a few of his frequent collaborators being signed by THQ (Company) to create a brand new franchise, called inSANE (Game). The first game in the supposed trilogy is planned for release in 2013, and del Toro has repeatedly said in interviews that he is very actively involved in the development of the game at Volition Inc, making frequent trips to Champaign, Illinois, and holding frequent video conferences with the development team whenever he is unable to be physically present in the studio.

Silent Hills

At Gamescom 2014 (Concept), the game demo P.T. was announced. Upon completion of the game demo, a reveal showed that Guillermo del Toro would be collaborating with Hideo Kojima (Person) to create the next iteration in the Silent Hill (Franchise) series, Silent Hills (Game).
