    Overview

Elincia Ridell Crimea is the princess of the nation of Crimea in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and the nation's queen in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. For the majority of the first game, she is an unplayable NPC, but eventually becomes playable as a unique Falcon Knight with the ability to use healing staffs. In Radiant Dawn, she appears again as a playable character starting in Part 2 of the game's storyline.

When first met, Elincia is very reserved and unsure of herself. Raised away from the common folk, she is at a loss when suddenly confronted with the outside world, but over time, she adapts and grows more understanding. Three years later, Elincia's struggles as Crimea's new queen force her to grow stronger still, and she demonstrates her resolve when both insurrection threatens Crimea from within and invasion threatens Crimea from beyond its borders.

    Path of Radiance

When I fled the capital and was told about Crimea's defeat in Gallia... I prepared myself to live in crushing, colorless despair for the rest of my days. But when I look back, I can see there were some warm rays of hope...poking through.

    To Ike (Support Conversation A)

Elincia first appears early on in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance when her unconscious body is found by the Greil Mercenaries, who are out scouting for intelligence following word of a Daein invasion. When she comes to, she reveals her identity to the mercenaries. She also confirms that the Daein army has taken the Crimean capital of Melior and is hunting down members of the Crimean royal family. She had been traveling to seek refuge in the neighboring nation of Gallia when her travel party was attacked by Daein soldiers. She hires the mercenaries for the purpose of escorting her the rest of the way.

Prior to their arrival in Gallia, Greil is killed by the Black Knight, and his son Ike inherits command of the mercenary company. Though they arrive safely within Gallia's borders and are welcomed by King Caineghis, Ike feels he can't sit idly by while his father's murderer is still out there and Crimea is under Daein rule. Elincia backs Ike's decision, and with the others, they sneak back into Crimea in order to board a ship bound for Begnion, a theocratic empire that Crimea had once been a part of. Once there, Elincia displays proper court etiquette in order to appease Sanaki, the Apostle of Begion, allowing the gruffer Ike to lend assistance to the Apostle by investigating a laguz slave trading ring.

Once Ike has earned Sanaki's assistance, Elincia grants him a lordship so that he may have the proper station required to lead the newly formed Crimean Liberation Army. She then accompanies Ike north through Daein, and then west, back into Crimea, where she manages to reunite with her friends Lucia, Geoffrey, and Bastian. She also acquires a suit of armor and pegasus that once belonged to her grandmother and takes the to the battlefield in order to assist the army in their remaining battles.

At the end of the game, after Daein's King Ashnard is defeated, Elincia ascends to the Crimean throne and becomes the nation's new queen as efforts to rebuild begin.
