El Blaze is one of the modern additions to the in the Virtua Fighter roster, following the recent trend that every fighting game must have a Luchador of some kind.

El Blaze ("The Blaze" in Spanish) was a master of Lucha Libre (Concept). With his speed and his strength he dominated the light-heavyweight division of wrestlers. However, he saw Wolf Hawkfield (Character) dominating the Heavyweight division of wrestlers and decided that Wolf was a goddamn poser. In order to prove himself as the world's greatest fighter and settle his score with Wolf, he quickly signed up for the Fifth World Fighting Tournament.
Word has it that El Blaze was modeled after real-life luchador Rey Mysterio or possibly the Japanese manga/anime series Tiger Mask.
