    Overview

eFootball PES 2020 was a soccer title released across all major contemporary platforms except for Switch, on September 10, 2019. In Japan, it was titled eFootball Winning Eleven 2020.

The new foretitle "eFootball" marked the series' shift to focus on courting eSports players and venues. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacting essentially every industry worldwide, eFootball PES 2021 was not a separate title, but was instead an upgrade for this one.

This would be the final game released with the title of PES/Pro Evolution Soccer or Winning Eleven before both were rebranded with just eFootball for eFootball 2022. This also marked the end of the standard model, as eFootball 2022 became entirely a free-to-play game instead of just having an optional "Lite" version.
