Kind of unfair to label him as a douche based on King of Kong.  That movie is fun to watch but it's pretty clear he was going to be the "antagonist" from the start so the movie would have some drama to it
 
But he is at BEST eccentric, that much is certain.  But who is honestly surprised that the Arcade scene is full of eccentrics?

King of Kong made me think Billy Mitchell was a dick. It was edited that way deliberately. But now I think he is pretty awesome, especially after the quote in that story.
