    History

Dizzy is the daughter of Justice, the Gear commander. She was found as an infant roughly three years before the events in Guilty Gear X by an old couple with no children of their own. She was feared by the other villagers, since she appeared to age from an infant to a teen in about three years. Later, one day she discovered that she had a tail and a pair of wings. She was then identified as a Gear, a living weapon of mass destruction. In order to protect her, her foster parents hid her in the woods, but she was soon discovered and captured. She was submitted to abuse, but later managed to escape. The government then issued a 500,000 World-Dollar bounty for her death.

After her escape, she came under the protection of Testament, who had served under the Command Gear Justice. Testament was able to defend Dizzy from bounty hunters. She would however be defeated by a bounty hunter named Sol Badguy. He spared her life however, and the bounty fell to Jam Kuradoberi, who used the money to open her restaurant. She was later ”rescued” by Johnny and May, who invited her to join their crew. Some weeks later, Dizzy was on the deck of the May Ship when she was knocked off the Ship by I-No. She fell 20,000 feet, and the impact of the fall caused her to become possessed by Necro. She would lay waste to several other characters, until she was cured by Faust. From there, the storyline branches off in two directions. In one, she fights I-No, resulting in an encounter with ”that man”, the mysterious creator of the Gears. In the other, she encounters and befriends Bridget, unaware that the bounty on Dizzy had already been paid to Jam.

    Powers

She is known to be very resilient. This comes to light in Guilty Gear XX, where she survives a fall from 20,000 feet. This resilience also extends her lifespan; one of her endings in Guilty Gear X takes place one hundred years after the game. She is however capable of dying, such as in one of Testament’s endings in Guilty Gear XX. As she is a half-Gear, she has a pair of angelic wings, the left one blue-white, and the right one being dark green. She also has the ability to transform her body parts, in particular her wings. They can become two entities of their own. The left wing can become a blue-skinned angelic woman named Undine, and her right dark green wing can become a reaper-like creature named Necro.

    Trivia

Her name comes from Guns 'n' Roses member Darren "Dizzy" Reed'a.
