Is there any advantage to getting either PS3 or 360 Version? I need a new game for the PS3 although I do like my points..
Dead Space
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Oct 14, 2008
Engineer Isaac Clarke battles a polymorphic virus-like alien infestation that turns human corpses into grotesque undead alien monsters called "Necromorphs" while trying to survive on board an infested interstellar mining ship named the USG Ishimura.
Which version to get?
its developed by EA which means the head console is ps3. (EA has been making games on ps3 first i forget why tho) so ps3 should be better
PS3 version has a better looking box imo, and for those quiet tense moments, you won't be bothered by disk spinning in the background. The fan can get kind of loud though

"daniel_beck_90 said:If there are no other distinguishing factors between the two versons, logically you decide based on the only distinguishing factor it has."360 all the way through , Achievements are really important"No they're not. I like achievements, but they are never a reason to buy a game."
I think I'm going to buy the 360 version today personally, solely because the tighter thumbsticks on the 360 pad seem better for this sort of game.
There are trophies/there are achievements. Both run perfectly and essentially are identical (according to Eurogamers review). PS3 was lead platform but it looks the same in 360 so irrelevent.
Well, given that Redwood Shores switched to PS3 as lead platform halfway through the development, you actually CAN tell the difference. I've seen them run side by side as of today, and the PS3 has smoother textures and better lighting. You have to be LOOKING FOR IT, however...so it's not a huge deal.
PS3 version has Trophys. Also, it has a black Exclusive DLC suit, while 360 has a Grey Exclusive DLC suit. I kinda like the PS3 one more. I still cant decide which version to get. My PS3 controllers face buttons seem to feel like there not as solid as the 360s,

It pisses me off, tbh.

In ReTarDedFisHy's opinion, PS3 version is the better version to get. Disregarding the fact that only has a PS3, the PS3's visuals look sharper, with better textures and better HDR lighting, as the 360 only as 64-bit HDR lighting whereas the PS3 has 128-bit HDR lighting.
There has been a new comparison video posted on VideoGamer.com, in 720p HD. There you can decide for yourself, but from what ReTarDedFisHy has seen, the PS3 has better visuals. It can be found here: http://www.videogamer.com/videos/dead_space_dead_space_video_comparison.html?type=hd
For some reason, the 360 and PS3's visual roles have been switched around, the 360 this time around is washed-out and has a blur-fliter
There's also been some comparison shots floating around (the zoomed-in ones) where the PS3's textures are slightly better. It also depends on what color suit you want. The glow on the suit is either yellow-green-lighted (360) or blue-lighted (PS3), well in any case, it's supposed to be like that, but from what ReTarDedFisHy has seen, it's practically the same. The DLC suit on the PS3 is black, and the 360 is grey.
This is just ReTarDedFisHy's opinion. Almost everything is subjective, so you should decide for yourself.
The framerate on the PS3 version of Dead Space just dropped to a slideshow in Chapter 7 when taking the lift back up to the control room after deactivating the gravity tethers. It's had some other hiccups, too. Anyone with the 360 version notice any framerate problems? Not that I'd want the 360 version to have the same problems, but it'd be pretty irritating when EA said they would run identically, and IGN writes a whole insider article they expect people to pay for saying the same thing.
