Overview
Data East's Hoops (known in Japan as Dunk Dream '95) is a 2D belt-scrolling 3-on-3 street basketball game developed and released by Data East for arcades (running their MLC System hardware) exclusively in both Europe and Japan in 1995.
The sequel to their previous basketball game for Neo Geo hardware (known as either Street Slam, Street Hoop, or Dunk Dream, depending on region), Hoops adds four-player support, camera zooming effects, and new techniques (such as juking, fadeaway shots, and the ability to use the Super Shot meter to perform a Super Defense against Super Dunks and Super Shots).
The European version later received an update in 1996, titled Data East's Hoops Version '96.
