CyberMage: Darklight Awakening
An early trial example of cyberpunk First-Person Shooter with rpg elements by Origin Systems.
Overview
CyberMage was a mid-nineties first person shooter which allowed the player to combine 'mage' powers with a combination of melee and ranged weaponry. The premise of the game was that the player awakens after a selfless act, to find themselves in a new costume (see box cover), and with a gem ('Darklight') implanted in their head. The gem is what grants the player their 'mage' powers, as they explore the game's dark setting. Notice one of the special points of this game is its rpg element, that's rather rare in that time period compare to these days
