Also Revan is male now and that is Canon.

Opinions. In ME2 Jennifer Hale sounded bored to me.

My Shepard is custom, anything that doesn't look like him seems unnatural and scary to me.

I don't really like Male Shepard, but it is pretty baffling to me that they decide to do this for the third game. 

I think they should keep male Shepard for all the marketing. No reason to change it now.

I made my own Shepard for the first ME, but I switched back to the default male guy for the the second. Animated a lot better. Normally I wouldn't care about the male/female selection in games, but when there's romances involved, might as well go with the character that's going to best represent me.

Jennifer Hale is a waaaaaaaaay better voice actor.

This is great!  I've always liked female Shepard better.  The main reason I like her better than the male Shepard is, well, the voice acting is waybetter.

As long as there's a customization option for Shepard, I AM THE SHEPARD. Therefore, he will be male in my playthroughs.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a male lead in the canon. If they're releasing a collectors edition with FemShep on the front, does that mean that there's no gender that the protagonist is assigned to in the canon? If that's true that's pretty awesome. Hell, all the decisions you can make, the relationships you can have, it must be difficult to even have a canon.

Why not just release the game with a double sided cover slip? Problem solved, everyone is happy.

Why do they have to add a character at all? Just show Earth, a Reaper ship and the number three in a fancy way, and that'd be fine.

Agreed! I prefer femshep as well. I like her voice acting better

Both Male & Fem shephard had poor voice actors in comparison to your companians. But Male Shep was the better of the 2. He was just as boring but had a better voice.
