Overview

Chariot is a drop-in/drop-out co-op platformer for PS4, Xbone, Nintendo Wii U and PC (Platform) starring a Princess and her Fiancé on a quest to transport their deceased King's coffin to its final resting place. Unfortunately, they are accompanied by the King's ghost, who will not leave them alone until his body has been laid to rest, and who is very, very picky about where his crypt will be, so the couple travels through the various Royal Catacombs to try and find a sepulchre worthy of His Majesty.

Gameplay

The game is a 2D side-scrolling platformer and uses cooperation as a tool to solve environmental puzzles.

Action sequences

The catacombs are filled with enemy creatures that, instead of attacking the players or trying to destroy the Chariot, will try to steal your hard-earned spoils, lowering the amount of gold collected that players can then spend on upgrades. Characters can attack enemies using the Princess' sword or the Fiancé's slingshot.

Speedrun

A speedrun mode allows the player to attempt to traverse the world as fast as possible. Times can be later viewed and compared on a leaderboard.

Upgrade system

The Chariot can be upgraded using blueprints found in the catacombs. Upgrades consist of things like a light for dark caves, heat resistance for lava, etc.

Gadgets

Gadgets are also obtained through blueprints found in the catacombs. These gadgets include items to help the player, like a Canary bomb that attracts and kill Looters.
