Overview

Championship Bowling is a bowling game exclusive to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive that was released in 1993. It features both single-player and multiplayer modes and a few different game types. The character and ball weight choices also play a factor: some bowlers are left-handed and/or are better at playing a specific way. In Japan, the game was called Boogie Woogie Bowling and had a more comedic sensibility, including having one of the characters be an alien named Erina. Though the western version changed the aesthetic to a more serious, grounded one it kept in the lighthearted soundtrack and the way characters would emotionally overreact when bowling.
