Some of the accessories are compatible, but their games are not. While they have a few in common, the 2000 did have different games and in fact it had Excite Mahjong 2, a sequel to a PV-1000 game.

Unfortunately, I've been trying to get new consoles added for years (not an exaggeration), now, and I doubt it'll be separated from the PV-1000 any time soon.
