Bumblebee was one of the original Autobots (Concept) to leave Cybertron (Location), along with Optimus Prime (Character), Jazz and several others aboard the
Due to dwindling resources and Energon, the Autobots were forced to flee so they could locate new reserves and continue their fight against the evil Decepticons (Concept).
Upon their crash landing on earth, and reactivation millions of years later, Bumblebee was one of the first Autobots to befriend Sam ‘Spike’ Witwicky, after the Autobots rescue him, his father ‘Sparkplug’ and several of their colleagues during a Decepticon attack on the oil rig they were working.
Personality
Bumblebee is one of the smallest Autobots around, standing not much taller than a human, but makes up for it in courage, honesty and friendliness.
Although his fellow Autobots never deride him for his statue, Bumblebee’s size has meant that he has always felt more at home among humans that his fellow mechanoids. Since being arriving on earth, his best friend has been Sam ‘Spike’ Witwicky.
Bumblebee fights with as much courage, ferocity and determination as any of his larger counterparts, but his natural curiosity has landed him in several scraps with the decepticons.

Bumblebees original transformation was into a VW beetle or ‘bug’.
Bumblebee was heavily damaged during Optimus Prime’s return,
and a Quintesson engineer rebuilt him into the Autobot ‘Goldbug’.
In the 2007 movie, Bumblebee was a yellow Chevrolet Camero concept.
