Released in April 1996 for PlayStation (Platform) and Saturn (Platform) and September of that same year for PC (Platform), Bubble Bobble featuring Rainbow Islands includes Bubble Bobble (Game) with a slightly altered version of Rainbow Islands (Game) as well as an all-new remixed version of the latter, <ins>Rainbow Islands Enhanced!</ins>

Trivia

According to Fergus McGovern (Person), Taito had lost the source code of the arcade version of Bubble Bobble and Probe Entertainment (Company) was forced to reverse engineer this version from the Atari ST (Platform) port.
Rainbow Islands' most noticeable difference from the actual original arcade version is the lack of its original musical score, which was removed from most ports due to sounding too much like Judy Garland's Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz (Franchise). This version instead uses a remix of the song that would replace the music on most other ports.
