    Super Metroid

    Brinstar is an underground complex of vegetation filled caverns on the planet Zebes in Super Metroid. This area is open and does not require a suit upgrade to navigate, making it one of the more straight forward areas of the game. It does however require some skill based navigation, such as the wall jump sequence. Brinstar is home to Spore Spawn and Kraid. The Charge Beam, Spazer Beam, Varia Suit, and Super Missile are first acquired here.

    Kraid's Lair is a subsection of Brinstar.
