Overview

Brawling clouds are an element commonly found in cartoons used as a means to depict intense, often comical fights without actually depicting the details of the brawl taking place. They may be accompanied by comic book onomatopoeia to illustrate sound effects, or by further visual gags meant to highlight the absurdity of the cloud itself. For example, the depiction of a hatch opening in the side of the cloud so that a character may escape the brawl.

In Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and Persona 4, this device is used when the player initiates an All-Out Attack.

In the BlazBlue series, this is used during "Imma Beat The Crap Outta You!" one of Taokaka's Distortion Drives, this is similar to Felicia's and Rocket Raccoon's Level 3 Supers in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has a similar move as her Level 3 Super.
