    Overview

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed and published by Arc System Works for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on December 17, 2011, with a North American release by Aksys Games on May 31, 2011 and a European release by PQube on November 4, 2011.

A console and handheld version of the BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II (itself a revision of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift), featuring the latest Continuum Shift II updates that were not included in any other Console version of the game (including the addition of Relius as a playable character). In addition, it features online team-based multiplayer, an extended Story Mode (including additional backstories and an abridged version of the story of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, the latter including cutscenes designed by nitroplus), and an updated Unlimited Mars mode.

It later received a Japanese-exclusive port to the PlayStation Portable on May 31, 2012. While it is nearly identical to the PSP version of Continuum Shift II, it features a new trivia mini-game known as "BBQ Mode" (or "BlazBlueQuiz"). It was also ported to the PC on November 14, 2014, released digitally by H2 Interactive worldwide. This version is notable for including online multiplayer, as the PC version of Calamity Trigger had its netplay removed due to it using Games for Windows - Live.
