    Overview

Bot Colony is an adventure game developed and published by North Side for the PC, relying on conversation with the characters (robots) as its main mechanic.

    Gameplay

The most notable feature of the game involves conversing in English with robots. The first mission is an investigation where the player needs to discover why a house is empty, by asking questions of Jimmy, the domestic robot in the house. By asking the right questions, the player can discovers 14 videos of Jimmy's observation that enable to player to piece together the story. After this, the player commands Jimmy to erase traces of intrusion in the house, by typing or speaking into a mic (Microsoft Speech is used to convert speech to text). The player must compare photos of a room before intrusion with the room's current state and instruct the robot to manipulate objects so they end up the way they were before the intrusion.

The second episode, Arrival, involves the player getting their gear and helping dispose of a bomb as the clock is ticking - all of which must be performed through text or spoken commands.
