Overview
Battletoads, sometimes Super Battletoads, is an Arcade brawler based on Rare's NES original and the fourth and final Battletoads game. The player once again has access to all three Battletoads: Zitz, Rash and Pimple. The game retains Battletoads in Battlemaniacs's enhancements, with each 'Toad having their own distinctive styles and strengths: Pimple is still the powerhouse, Rash is the quickest and Zitz is an all-rounder.
The Arcade game is considerably more violent than the Nintendo console games, as it is no longer restrained by the strict guidelines set by Nintendo. The game is also more focused on being a brawler than an a general action game, with sequences like the high speed vehicle chases involving more enemy bashing than the obstacle-avoiding of the NES/SNES games.
