Overview

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a role-playing game developed by Airship Syndicate and published by THQ Nordic (Company) for PC (Platform), Mac (Platform), Linux (Platform), Xbox One (Platform), PlayStation 4 (Platform), and Nintendo Switch (Platform). The game is based on a 1998 series of comic books titled Battle Chasers created by Joe Maduriera.

In October 2015 the game was successful in raising $856,354 on the crowd funding platform Kickstarter.

Gameplay

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a role-playing game that has players traveling along a linear set of paths on a two-dimensional overworld map. At various spots along the path players will engage in traditional style turn-based JRPG battles. There are also dungeons and exploration areas that have players controlling the playable characters directly in a more Diablo style, complete with traps and enemies.
