    Overview

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a 2D comedic fantasy action-adventure platformer developed by Seedy Eye Software and published by Limited Run for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 14, 2024.

Developed as a spiritual successor to the infamous The Legend of Zelda CD-i games Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Arzette features similar art and gameplay quirks from those games, including their well-known style of cheesy animated cartoon cutscenes.

Players control the titular princess Arzette of the Kingdom of Faramore as she embarks on a quest to recover the Jewel of Faramore and banish the evil demon king Daimur.

It was developed in GameMaker Studio 2 and is the first game digitally published by Limited Run Games (best known for their short-run retail releases of other digital games). It also features some talent from their inspired games, including artist Rob Dunlavey and both Jeffrey Rath and Bonnie Jean Wilbur (who previously voiced Link and Zelda in those games).
