Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, ZombiePie, am once again honored to be your host as we look back at the site and staff-related news and best user-created works from the previous week! And goodness, do we have a lot to talk about this week in relation to the site.
First, as many of you have noticed, some major style formatting upgrades have hit the site. Navigating the front page and tabs on the top of the site have been improved so it provides a proper user dropdown menu instead of what we had before. Likewise, you can now access your public profile and see the stuff you have made on the site, review your settings, and manage and edit your billing information. On top of that, some cite chat usability improvements were deployed on top of the site chat user count returning. Likewise, you will be happy to see Andre back when you use the site chat room.
In terms of site-related housekeeping, if you ever see a “security verification could not load” pop-up or warning when trying to use the site, Chuck indicated that this means Cloudflare is being blocked from loading the site for some reason with the most likely culprit being your VPN. This seems to be far more common with Safari users as Safari behaves very differently from Chrome, Edge, or Firefox when it comes to VPNs. If this sounds like an issue or problem you have encountered, please let Chuck know in the Site-Tech-Issues section of the Giant Bomb Discord.
If you missed it last week, don't forget that Chuck published a new Site Update video on YouTube which outlines plans for the site, Chuck's work with authentication, and status on updates for many of the features on the site. When it comes to the wiki, major improvements to the templates and performance have been implemented and Chuck did a re-migration of old wiki pages to the new site to reduce the number of script errors and glitches. Release information on game wiki pages is an upcoming project for him as well as guides. There's even more information in the video to learn about, so again. give it a watch when you have the time!
For those of you with Giant Bomb Premium on the site or on YouTube, you can now watch the first episode or premier of CatJERFMan! Go sign up at giantbomb.com/join and bring some catnip and here's a hint of what you're missing out on:

The Jumper Himself: Jacob Geller +
The Cable Dan (By: jearum)
I don't know how I dropped the ball on this one but jearum made a Blight Club Super Friends artwork inspired by Giant Bomb's guest feature with the video game adaption of Jumper. Likewise, with Dan needing to fight a nest of wasps or bees, jearum decided to re-imagine Dan as an iconic movie character who's job it is to work in-between your walls.
And as is the case anytime I showcase the wonderful works of jearum, don't forget that they have a ko-fi page where you can send him some love or even commission some art from them.

Generalissimo Minotti (By: Chuck)
After a Friday's stream two weeks ago, the idea of Mike as the dictator of a nation hasn't escaped Chuck's mind. So much so, they decided to make this work of photoshopped goodness for the rest of the internet to enjoy.

Classic Giant Bomb Clip of the Week
Do you want to feel old today? August 19th marked the 18th anniversary of the release of Too Human, which means one of the most iconic and memorable moments from Giant Bomb's early history is also 18-years-old.
If you want to really feel like your turning to dust, consider a point Giant Bomb site moderator FinalDasa made: the GB stream where they played CD-i games is from 2014 and the CD-i is from 1994. If they were to go back 20 years from today and do the same thing they'd be playing... the Xbox 360.

Likewise, Mento has a new episode in their "Indie Game of the Week" feature with the game this time being Call of the Sea! How impressed were they of this first-person adventure game and its puzzle design and combat-less gameplay? Read to find out!
