    Overview

Anna as she appears in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

Anna is a recurring figure in the Fire Emblem series, and possibly the closest figure that the franchise has to a mascot. She appears in every entry in the series except for Fire Emblem Gaiden and the Satellaview release of BS Fire Emblem. Rather than appear as a playable character, she most frequently makes her appearances in minor roles on the periphery.

In some games, Anna appears when the player opens the window to suspend and quit the game in mid-battle. In other games, she serves as the host of the tutorials, and in Path of Radiance, she appears in the tutorials as a Pegasus Knight. In yet others, she appears within the game world itself as an NPC that the player may encounter by visiting the proper house. In each appearance, she is depicted in the same way; as a young woman with red hair and eyes, posed with a finger along her cheek or at her chin.

Anna is sometimes paired with another recurring character in Jake. In the original Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi, Jake is Anna's boyfriend and a recruitable character. If the player visits the proper house, Anna will hint at the requirement to make Jake leave the Grust army and side with the Alteans. Anna and Jake later appear together in the games Seisen no Keifu and Fire Emblem.

    Playable Debut

In Fire Emblem: Awakening, Anna makes her debut as a playable character as a member of the new "Trickster" class; a promotion class for thieves. She can be recruited if the player has Chrom talk to her during Paralogue 4. As with other player characters, she can form bonds and eventually marry. However, Anna's support options are limited. She can form bonds with Tiki, the Avatar, and if she has married the male Avatar, her daughter Morgan.

It is also revealed that Anna has a multitude of sisters that mysteriously all look exactly alike and have the same name. One such sister serves as the hostess of the online shop, while other Annas will appear at random on the world map and offer special items and prices.

Anna is voiced for the first time in Awakening; her Japanese voice actress is Saori Seto.
