    Famous for his enormous size and strength, the late André "the Giant" Roussimoff was a particularly beloved WWF wrestler who also appeared in many video games, continuing to be included in game rosters for years after his death. These include WWF Superstars and Wrestlemania on the NES.

    His most famous rivalry was with Hulk Hogan. His Wrestlemania III match with Hogan was one of the most watched sporting events of all time. He was the very first inductee into the WWF Hall of Fame.

    He was later known for his role as Fezzik in the 1987 film, "The Princess Bride."

    André died in his sleep due to congestive heart failure on January 27, 1993 . Out of respect, and because of his immense fame, he appears in wrestling games as a "Legend" to this day, as recently as WWE All-Stars in 2011.
