I'm pretty late to the party on this one, but damn this looks dope

Meh the story seems so standard in terms of japanese plots till now.

So was browsing through the releases for the next few weeks and looked up about this. I got really excited the static screenshots look great and then....you see it in motion against the 3D world and ......all my hopes for the game went south. The animation looks amazing but it just also looks out of place in a 3D world.

It sure is hard to decipher that box art. Where did her other leg go?

Picked up a brand new PS3 for TLoU but got a copy of this also, never even got to play either because the system died on the second day :( but if it's not so great I won't pick it up if I ever decide to get a ps3 again.

Are you speaking in riddles?

1. If you just bought a brand new PS3 that died on the 2nd day why have you not had it replaced yet? this totally falls under warranty

2. You got a copy of this game but will have to pick up a new one if you get a new ps3?

I've heard the entire game is just pretty bad. It made the shortlist for the worst game in Japan the year it came out.

Oh man, this looks so disappointing now. :(

And I was really excited on the reveal too, oh well.

Yeah, I read a write-up by someone who had played it a bunch and it sounds awful.

Perhaps I'm being stupid after all of the warnings, but I went ahead and ordered it. if the game truly is a train wreck, I might as well see it for myself.

In other words, I am a fool parting with my money.

The trailer is cringe inducing, but the way Shipwreck described it on the CAGcast made me very interested: "battle system gameplay like Punch Out, batshit crazy story, beautiful graphics."

I might have to take the plunge blind on this one too. :-?

Haha, hey, we can both play this blind then! I'm going to play it today, and after all the bad press this game got, I fully expect it to be god awful. At least the cover art is nice looking, so it'll be a nice looking coaster if nothing else... A sixty dollar coaster.

We are definitely closer than before to dynamic and in system animation style that is completely "from scratch" instead of "pre-staged". I'm all for any game pushing this tech farther even if they are stretch some truths.

I saw a video of this being played yesterday. It looks incredibly weird and unnatural, like she's just gliding along the ground.
