Good to see more of Will and Nillasca they've been behind the scenes for so long. It reminds me of the whiskey media days where everyone from there was on camera.

Matthew is 100% wrong about SD burritos! I live in SD, and we have some of the saddest, sorriest Mexican food restaurants around. Basically, the last bastions of burritodom in SD are Los Palmitos and Un Mundo. Anywhere else? Expect either food poisoning or raw ingredients served cold.

Prey and NMS are boring... I'll give duder that! But Madden!? The map hasn't changed in 33 games! Still green grass with white lines on it! Even Dota changes and themes their map! Give me an underwater themed Madden and we'll talk! Lol.

the weeaboo question was interesting to see brought up. A weeaboo is normally just an Otaku (a Japanese person into anime and game "culture") who is not Japanese. It was probably once derogatory, and might still be to some, but has definitely lost a lot of its bite and I have seen it used kind of endearingly sometimes.

IIRC, it is 'derogatory'. It was used for people who were waaaay to into Japanese that wished they were Japanese, thought Japan is/was the most amazing thing ever, threw in random Japanese words into their sentences unironically and stuff. Most of their knowledge of Japan only comes from anime. Nowadays? It's mostly used in a joking matter by 99% of the people, like the one guy said, 'we made it our own'.

Otaku is also not (wasn't? not sure if this has changed yet) technically a good thing, in Japan at least. Those are the actual NEETs that were basically addicted to whatever their obsession was, generally anime and/or idols.

@shiro2809: Yeah, I can only speak for its usage in my little spot of America. In Japan proper the context is, as you point out, weighted with negative associations, and really is sort of a shameful, or unfortunate title, derogatory.

@gerzie: Yeah, it seemed really put-on. Like he's trying to sound "hood" but isn't quite pulling it off. It's like when my little brother went through a gangster phase.

EA's excuse seems like complete bullshit. last year Kaep WAS in the game and there was another song with his name in it and that was censored as well.

@gerzie: I said as much in the chat at the time. That may well be how he normally talks, but my God it's so out of sync with what I'm used to, and sounded really embarrassing. Especially compared to everyone around him.
