This was recorded at really low levels. Typically my work PC can pump out enough volume to hear, on this they might as well have been whispering.

Ghost Brad is amazing.

Dan needs to give some games a fair shot before going all Internet Dan on the them. Remember New Dan? He was a great, understanding guy. Maybe this game isn't your cup of tea, doesn't mean you be a total jerk about it.

EDIT: He was a bit harsh, yes, but for 60 dollars this seems insane. If it was like 30 I think it would make more sense.

Also, whatever, he has the right to think what he thinks. He said recently that he spends more time and is more patient with games he knows he won't like, so whatever conclusion he comes to, I am sure he did try to give it a fair shot.

When Dan uses that annoying voice to try to aggressively mock something, it gives me the joy that trolls get knowing somebody is genuinely angry about something that is of little importance.

I feel like the best Quick Looks let the 'badness' of a game stand clear on its own, with the humor coming from the hosts reaction to the game, or riffing on the obvious problems they encounter. If a game doesn't annoy others on its own, and you have to resort to sarcastic mimicry of it to convince others of how bad it is, your problem might be personal rather than objective.

Was Vinny's "X to special" prompt actually the "X to reload" one?

Rushed broken mess of a game.

Dan seems down on this game because of his usual play style in games like Metal Gear Solid V, just kind of run-and-gun action dude stuff, while Sniper Ghost Warrior wants you to methodically scope out the situation stealthily and set up your sniper shot.

This seems like a pretty great game for me, but maybe not a full price purchase, especially if the story is generic and underwhelming as it seems to be.

The dialogue/voice acting reminds me of Metal Gear

Hmm I'd like to play a sniper game but I'm not sure which I'd want to play... Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is 40 euro, and Sniper Elite 4 is 50 euro. I guess I'd go with SE4...

Hmm maybe I should look at older sniper games.

This is the kind of videogame jank that I would totally love to pay 5$ for

Seems to have some ambitious ideas and I don't feel like we're getting the full scope of what you can do in this game from the QL, but QLs can sometimes do that, and it being rather buggy and missing little features to make the game fun, and the not as satisfying sniper gunplay does make it seem like it fails to execute such ideas.

Especially that last bit sounds important to me in a game like this. In a sniper game I expect everything around taking that shot to be really cool (not necessarily because of the realism).

Played 1st and liked the virtual vacation. Played 2 but got bored a few levels in and uninstalled. Looks like for 3 they decided to copy a bunch of other more popular games, but who cares? The most important thing is that they FINALLY added the friggin elevation adjustment. Took 3 "Sniper" games to get here.

Dan's always playing stealth games like they're full-on action games, but not all of them put the focus on a guns-blazing style. I'm not saying this game is without its problems, but it certainly seems to encourage a more specific, methodical playstyle. Maybe someone else should have handled this Quick Look. It's like if you made Dan play an old-school adventure game on a QL: Of course he's not gonna like it.

Is Sniper Elite and Sniper Ghost Warrior warring sniper teams?

Dan seems way too quick to rag on this game like it's the worst game of the year or something... and I feel like a lot of what he is saying isn't really valid or unique to this game. "Some vehicles you can get into and some you can't." That's every game for the last 20 years. And being upset that there aren't XRay shots... not every game should do exactly the same thing. Then "This melee thing never works," and the first time Vinny has him try it everything works fine.

Not having watched the video yet, the comments about Dan being too judgemental, harsh and unfair remind me a lot on the mini-shitstorm that was his the Metro Last Light QL in his early days at Giant Bomb :DD

Baklavas are a dessert, and Balaclavas are full face masks. You're both wrong, but Dan is slightly less so.

Also Internet Dan is hysterical but don't overuse him please.
